The Perfect Concert

So I've gone to Sasquatch the past two summers...I had a good time at both, but the the show in 2005 was PERFECT. Every now and then the lineup at a show coincides perfectly with your tastes...and perhaps you are even surprised by a band or two that you weren't listening to.

2005 was that for me. Wilco, Modest Mouse, The Pixies, and I had a chance to hear both The Arcade Fire and Bloc Party for the first time. In fact, The Arcade Fire blew me away.

So this year, the lineup on Saturday, the day I can go, is....just so so for me.

Arcade Fire is actually playing later, which would be great, but the rest isn't as interesting for me. So I will be skipping it...but it is a tough decision. There might be a band or two out there that I would really enjoy but will miss out on.

Saturday morning at the lake

I had a perfect evening at the lake last night. It had been warm, and Kate and I had picked up burgers and onion rings at Dubs, and we ate as we looked out at Lake Pend Orielle.
We later enjoyed the slightly cloudy view of the lights from the hot tub, and went to sleep.
So I wake up this morning...and it is cloudy and raining. Bummer.
